INNER BANKS MEDIA: Commitment To The Community
Concert On The Common
This event was organized by Inner Banks Media in 2018. Bringing musical acts to the town common amphitheater in Greenville NC. Thousands of event goers each year look forward to this now, annual tradition in uptown Greenville.
Children's Miracle Network - Radiothon
Inner Banks Media is proud to team up with ECU Health’s – John & Connie Maynard Children’s Hospital for the Children’s Miracle Network Radiothon. With over $3.5 Million dollars raised, we are fortunate to help raise money for our local hospital which serves 29 counties here in ENC.
Christmas With The Embers
Inner Banks Media is committed to the community we serve, and that means our younger audience too. Christmas with the Embers is a concert IBX Media started in 2017, benefiting Pitt Co. Operations Santa Claus, which provides toys for underprivileged kids for the holidays. This annual event is one that both young and old can enjoy!
Candidates Forum
Keeping our listeners informed on the issues important to them. That is the reason IBX Media hosts Candidate Forums on major elections. Our commitment to the community includes the information people need to make the best choice of future leadership.
Live at the Legislature
Talk of the Town with Henry Hinton is considered the most comprehensive local and state news authority in NC. It’s the only show invited to broadcast live from the NC Legislature each year highlighting the beginning of the session.
Community Summit
We have a yearly “community summit” in the convention center where we bring together community leaders to talk about the most pressing issues. The station sold sponsorships to this as well once again doing well and doing “good”.
Avett Brothers Benefit Concert
One of our finest hours was what the station did in the aftermath of the Hurricane Florence. WTIB used its connections to organize the largest relief event in the history of eastern NC. On November 13th we hosted the Avett Brothers Concert in the coliseum at ECU. With over 4,000 attendees we raised more than $325,000 which the station used to deliver grants to local organizations which are rebuilding the area.
