IBX Media President Henry Hinton Named To National Board

Henry Hinton, President of Inner Banks Media, was appointed to the National Association of Broadcaster (NAB) Board of Directors in January. Hinton also serves at the Vice President for Radio for the North Carolina Association of Broadcasters (NCAB). He formerly served as President of the state association. The NAB is the national advocacy group for the advancement of Radio and Television nationwide and is a key player in shaping legislation in Congress which affects the industry. Hinton’s appointment fills an open position for a four-year term at NAB.

Marc & Laura Win NC Personalities of the Year For Fifth Time

For the fifth consecutive year Marc and Laura, the morning team on 107.9 WNCT, won the Radio Personalities of the Year for Medium Markets in the state of North Carolina.

Marc Miller and Laura Smith were awarded the honor at the annual NC Association of Broadcasters Annual Award Ceremony in November at the Angus Barn Pavillion in Raleigh.

The light-hearted morning show has been an Eastern Carolina favorite for listeners since 2017. The show airs every morning Monday through Friday on 107.9 WNCT! Congratulations to Marc and Laura for entering the Five Timers Club!

Luke Vail Inducted Into The Beach Music Hall of Fame

Another Hall of Fame Induction took place for our staff in 2024. Luke Vail, who has been hosting Sunday On The Beach on 107.9 WNCT since 1994 was inducted into the Beach Music Hall of Fame.

Luke joins Craig Woolard who hosts The Craig Woolard Show on 107.9 WNCT who is also in the Hall of Fame.

This is the third induction for 107.9 WNCT as the station itself was inducted in 2020.

107.9 WNCT is the legendary HOME for beach music in the Carolinas with programs each weekend on Saturday and Sunday.
